Virtual or In-Person Cancellations Policies
Dear Couples Counseling Center Families,
I wanted to inform you that I will be on sabbatical for the month of July every year. I will not be taking any appointments during this time.
Twenty-one years ago in the Spring of 2001, I graduated from seminary with a Master's Degree in Counseling/Family Studies, and since that time I have been helping couples who are dating, engaged, and married grow in their relationships. I have also been privileged to serve men and teens. This has been my full-time work.
Recently during a two-week bout with Covid-19, I had a chance to really reflect on the last two decades. I was compelled to take some time off to rest from my diligent labor.
In the past 21 years, I have literally served thousands of couples, raised five children with my wife of 28 years, written 16 books, and served in various ministries locally and abroad.
The work of counseling is very demanding and requires that I am at my highest level of mental, emotional, vocational, physical, and spiritual health.
This sabbatical will allow me to rest, refuel, read, reimagine and recharge in preparation for the next 20-year run.
I have appreciated all the encouragement I have received from many of you telling me that I’ve “earned” this time to get away and rest.
We have seen so much good together these two decades. We can look back together and thank the good Lord above for his grace and mercy.
